Mina is our farm cat. She proudly prowls the land, making sure no voles come to nibble on your future salads.
A true working partner in organic farming.
that's me, the farmer behind Mina's Prowl Farm.
For nearly 20 years, I worked as a cinematographer and technician for film and television in France and Canada. But the call of the land was stronger. I first learned the ropes on my family's farm in France, before diving 100% into agronomy and Living Soil Market Gardening. Since then, I've had the chance to manage and develop several agricultural projects in Ontario, specializing in permaculture, soil management, and organic farming on permanent raised beds. My philosophy is simple: feed the soil to feed the people. I grow ultra-fresh, nutrient-dense vegetables, all cultivated without chemicals in a healthy ecosystem.
is the heart and soul of 4 Life Natural Foods, the iconic organic grocery store he founded and managed for years in the heart of Kensington Market in Toronto. Arriving from Sri Lanka in 1986, Pots has dedicated his life to healthy, local, and organic food. Sharing the same vision for regenerative agriculture, Pots generously offered me the space to set up on the land of his farm, Om Organic Farm. It’s thanks to this beautiful synergy that Mina's Prowl Farm was born!
While our annual vegetable beds are in motion, we are designing a resilient,
diversified farmscape intended to nourish our community for decades to come.
●
Agroforestry & Perennial Fruits:
We have already planted our first fruit trees, hazelnuts, and goji berries.
Coming seasons will welcome expanded plantings of cold-hardy haskaps,
cherries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and rhubarb.
●
Closing the Ecological Loop:
We plan to introduce pastured laying hens to the farm system.
Beyond offering delicious farm eggs, their presence closes our nutrient cycle—building organic matter,
controlling insect pressures, and returning fertility directly to the earth.
●
Local Grower Collaborations:
We are connecting with nearby organic farms and craft producers
to bring you a richer basket of local goods, ensuring fair prices for farmers and wholesome diversity for your table.
